7th EdukCircle International Convention on Tourism and Hospitality

Sustaining Development and Management in the Services Sector

AFP Theater, Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City, September 21, 2014

Despite bad weather condition on Friday and Saturday brought about by Tropical Storm Mario, the EdukCircle was luckily given a sun shiny day last Sunday, September 21, 2014, just in time for the 7th EdukCircle International Convention on Tourism and Hospitality. Convention chairman, Mr. Alex Baltazar, said he was so thankful that the speakers who came from Thailand and Singapore arrived in Manila safe and sound. Though there were some students and teachers affected by the storm who were not able to attend, Baltazar still believed that it was one of the most successful events the EdukCircle held this year.

With the theme, "sustaining development and management in the services sector," speakers shared with the students various insights and new practices in tourism and hospitality. Ms. Fay Lugue of IN2NITE Southeast Asia discussed the advantages of mobile marketing for tourism and hospitality while Mr. Robert McKenzie, deputy director of Vatel International Business School in Thailand lectured on collectivity and image of ASEAN marketing.

The EdukCircle also conferred honorary chirmanships to the following:
